Thanks to state-of-the-art CNC bending technology and tailor-made manufacturing solutions, we are your one-stop shop for everything you need – precise, predictable and reliable.
Stainless steel hydraulic tubes: materials, manufacturing and delivery forms
Stainless steel hydraulic tubes are the basis for reliable, durable, and corrosion-resistant hydraulic systems. At Interalloy, we rely exclusively on high-quality materials that perform well even under high pressures and changing environmental conditions. Our stainless steel hydraulic pipes are manufactured in accordance with EN 102165 (seamless) or EN 102177 (welded) and thus meet the strict requirements for pressure vessels and system pipes. For precision applications, we also use the EN 10305 series of standards, which defines exact tolerances and surface qualities.
Regardless of the design you choose, we offer three delivery forms:
- Manufacturing lengths from a wide range of stock items with over 1500 items, suitable for standard applications or for further processing.
- Fixed lengths – cut to exact specifications with the tightest tolerances for immediate installation without reworking.
- Finished parts – completely processed solutions that can be drilled, milled, bent, welded, or soldered – with laser processing to a tolerance of ±0.05 mm on request.
Our stainless steel tubes cover a range of dimensions from ultra-fine capillary tubes from 0.1 mm to robust construction tubes with an outer diameter of up to 70 mm. This variety makes it possible to implement the optimal solution for every application – whether for hydraulic systems in mechanical engineering, automation, or sensitive production environments.
Seamless hydraulic tubing: for high pressures and demanding media
When reliability and pressure resistance are crucial, there is no alternative to seamless stainless steel hydraulic tubes. Their homogeneous structure without weld seams makes them particularly resistant to high pressure, vibrations, and aggressive media —ideal for high-pressure hydraulics or use in chemical and process engineering.
Our seamless pipes are manufactured in accordance with EN 10216-5 and meet the highest quality requirements. Typical materials are 1.4404 (AISI 316L) and 1.4571 (AISI 316Ti) – both proven for their excellent corrosion resistance and mechanical stability. The pipes are cold-drawn and pickled, which not only guarantees uniform wall thickness but also clean, smooth surfaces. In combination with fully annealed material, the pipe remains optimally bendable and easy to process.
Factory certificates 3.1 in accordance with EN 10204 are available as standard – an indispensable proof of quality and traceability. Typical production lengths are between 5 and 7 meters, although precise fixed lengths or bent finished parts can of course be configured.
For high-pressure applications, we recommend our high-pressure stainless steel pipes, which are additionally hardened by cold-drawn seamless production, thus guaranteeing maximum operational safety.
Hydraulic pipes Standard: EN, DIN, and ISO at a glance
Anyone who designs or installs hydraulic pipes must be able to rely on uniform technical standards. These standards ensure that pipes are compatible, resilient, and reliable worldwide. The following standards are central to stainless steel hydraulic pipes:
- EN 10216-5: Regulates seamless pipes made of stainless steels for pressure-bearing applications. Part 5 defines different test scopes (TC1/TC2) as well as chemical and mechanical requirements.
- EN 10217-7: Applies to welded stainless steel pipes that are also approved for pressure applications.
- EN 103051 / 2 / 4 / 6: This series of standards describes precision steel pipes used in hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- EN ISO 1127: Specifies the metric measurement system and tolerance classes D2/T2 to D4/T4 for stainless steel tubes.
Standardization also plays a decisive role in connection technology: Hydraulic tubes are usually connected with 24° cutting ring fittings in accordance with DIN 2353 or ISO 8434-1. These not only define sealing cones and sizes, but also ensure the compatibility of stainless steel pipes, fittings, and screw connections for safe operation at high pressures.
This means that Interalloy provides you with pipe systems that are fully compliant with standards, documented, tested, and suitable for international use – from pipe selection to the finished bent component.
Hydraulic pipe bending: CNC bending, bending radii, and processing
Bending hydraulic pipes requires precision, experience, and the right technical equipment. At Interalloy, we rely on CNC bending technology to produce reproducibly accurate pipe shapes with consistent quality – even with tight radii or complex geometries. Fully annealed stainless steel hydraulic pipes are particularly easy to bend, as they retain the necessary formability without losing stability.
Proper planning and preparation are essential for perfect results: pipe cutting and deburring, clean, scratch-free surfaces, and the use of suitable bending tools. The bending radii vary depending on the pipe diameter and wall thickness, with Interalloy defining the optimal parameters for your application – from precise 90° bends to multiple curved guide lines.
Targeted tube bending reduces connection points, avoids pressure losses, and prevents leaks—a significant advantage over rigid tube connections. Our experienced specialists accompany you from the design sketch to the finished bent tube, including documentation of the tolerances maintained and test reports.
Cylinder tube for hydraulics: Stainless steel quality for honed inner surfaces
In hydraulic cylinders, the cylinder tube is the heart of the system. It must absorb mechanical loads and provide a perfect sliding surface for the piston. Interalloy supplies stainless steel cylinder tubes that are precision ground or honed to ensure minimal friction and exact guidance.
Stainless steel offers clear advantages over conventional carbon steels: corrosion resistance, improved hygiene, and reduced maintenance requirements—especially in sensitive production environments such as the food or chemical industries. Our cylinder tubes are available in welded or seamless designs and meet the highest standards of dimensional accuracy, roundness, and surface quality.
- Common bore tolerances: H8/H9
- Typical internal roughness: Ra≈0.4–0.8 µm
- Standard bases: EN 10305-1 / -2
- Materials: Stainless steel (e.g., 1.4404, 1.4571)
This means you receive components that are not only manufactured with precision, but are also perfectly tailored to the sealing and guidance requirements of modern hydraulic systems.
