Stainless steel capillary tubes for maximum precision and versatility

Capillary tubes are delicate precision tubes with minimal diameters – and it is hard to imagine modern industry without them. They are used wherever exact tolerances, high-quality materials, and uncompromising quality are required. Interalloy AG specializes in the manufacture, storage, and delivery of stainless steel capillary tubes – tailored to your requirements and ready for a wide range of industrial applications.

Capillary tubes in production lengths, fixed lengths, and as finished parts

Interalloy AG offers you precision-manufactured capillary tubes. Three basic product variants are available – all manufactured to the usual Swiss quality standards:

Production lengths

Capillary tubes in production lengths are the ideal basis for further processing. They are produced in standard lengths between 3.5 and 6 meters and are particularly suitable for customers who carry out further processing in-house. The tubes are available with extremely tight tolerances and in various stainless steel alloys.

Fixed lengths

Do you need precisely cut tube sections? Interalloy also offers capillary tubes in individually definable fixed lengths – with outer diameters from 0.1 mm to 70 mm and cut lengths from 1.5 mm. The highest precision and burr-free finishing are ensured – ideal for medical technology or precision engineering applications.

Finished parts

For demanding applications, Interalloy also manufactures ready-to-install capillary tube components – machined, deburred, polished, or with specific finishing such as faceting or cannula grinding. These finished parts are produced exactly to your specifications and are ready for immediate use.

All capillary tube variants are either supplied from stock or manufactured in small to large series on request. The Interalloy AG team is always on hand to advise you – for tailor-made solutions that fit your project perfectly.

High-quality materials and surfaces for the most demanding requirements

A decisive quality factor for capillary tubes is the material used. Interalloy exclusively processes high-quality stainless steels and special alloys that are characterized by excellent corrosion resistance, strength, and purity. This makes the tubes suitable for even the most demanding applications – from medical technology to vacuum technology.

Stainless steel in technical perfection

The standard range includes austenitic stainless steels such as:

  • 1.4301 (AISI 304) – proven, economical, and easily formable
  • 1.4404 / 1.4435 (AISI 316L) – particularly corrosion-resistant and biocompatible
  • 1.4571 (AISI 316Ti) – heat-resistant and suitable for welding

These materials are versatile and comply with international standards such as EN 10216-5, ISO 1127, and ASTM A269.

Special alloys on request

In addition to stainless steel, Interalloy also processes nickel-based alloys and titanium, for example for extreme chemical or thermal conditions. Our team will be happy to check the feasibility of special material requirements for you.

Surface treatments for function and appearance

The surface of a capillary tube not only influences its appearance, but also its function – for example, in media guides, optical sensors, or welded joints.

Depending on the application, the following variants are possible:

  • Bright drawn
  • Ground (e.g., 180, 240, 400 grit)
  • Polished
  • Pickled
  • Scotch-Brite finish

This diversity enables Interalloy to supply precision tubes that are precisely tailored to your technical requirements – offering the highest level of functionality and appearance.

Capillary tubes for a wide range of applications in technology and industry

Capillary tubes are in demand wherever precise dosing, exact guidance, or minimal dimensions are required. Due to their diverse material properties and high dimensional accuracy, they are indispensable in numerous industries. Interalloy AG supplies customers throughout Europe—from innovative start-ups to large corporations—with tailor-made solutions for demanding applications.

Typical areas of application at a glance:

  • Medical technology: Used as guide tubes, cannulas, endoscopy components, or capillaries for liquids and gases. Biocompatible materials such as 1.4435 and absolutely burr-free finishes are particularly in demand here.
  • Measurement and control technology: As protective sleeves or conduit elements for sensors, thermocouples, and pressure measurement systems – wherever tolerances in the hundredth of a millimeter range are critical.
  • Plant and apparatus engineering: Capillary tubes are used for precise dosing, cooling, or conveying in automated processes—for example, in food technology or the semiconductor industry.
  • Research and development: Ideal for prototyping and special tests where material purity and precise shaping are essential.
  • Automotive and aerospace industries: Used as lines in fuel, hydraulic, or cooling systems—especially in confined spaces.

Thanks to this wide range, Interalloy customers benefit from a deep understanding of the application and the ability to design capillary tubes to suit specific industries and functions. The combination of consulting, manufacturing expertise, and material diversity makes Interalloy a reliable partner for precision tubes.

Customized processing and manufacturing – tailored to your project

At Interalloy AG, capillary tubes are not simply delivered – they are precisely tailored to your project. Whether series production or one-off production: every tube solution goes through a structured process of consulting, technical planning, and manufacturing – always with the aim of implementing your requirements with millimeter precision.

State-of-the-art processing technologies

Thanks to highly specialized machinery, capillary tubes at Interalloy can be processed using a wide variety of methods – precisely, burr-free, and reliably:

  • Sawing, cutting off, and burr-free cutting
  • Turning and long turning
  • Milling, drilling, and grinding
  • Wire EDM and laser cutting
  • Bending and forming
  • Soldering and welding (including laser welding)

When it comes to particularly fine tubes, the topic of “capillary tube welding equipment” also comes into play: Interalloy uses micro-precise welding processes that can be used to join even the most delicate stainless steel tubes in a form-fitting and force-fitting manner – ideal for medical technology or sensor technology, for example.

Precise end finishing – down to the smallest detail

Interalloy also processes the tube ends according to your specifications:

  • Burr-free, brushed, or trowalized
  • With defined chamfer or faceting
  • Special bevels (e.g., according to DIN 13097:2002-09)
  • Cannula cuts with single or faceted grinding

This results in ready-to-use precision tubes that can be integrated directly into your assemblies or systems – without any additional post-processing.
